will only beavailable there you know things likesimple steps that will get you startedand up and running quick things that arein the videos but are written down insimple steps that serve as quickreminders when you need information downthe road if you're working with programslike wavelab or Cubase plugins or thecable guys shaper Box 2 and many manyother projects that are in the worksthen I know you're going to find justlike I have that this is an invaluablestudy Aid and the other thing I want tomake sure you understand is that this isnot a simple PDF this is a constantlyupdated page that has any informationthat is new or anytime videos arechanged really any thing updated andonce you have it you will always havethe latest information constantlyupdated so if you haven't gotten italready go to the link below click on itand save it to your favorites it's mygift to you and it's absolutely freeOkay so let's get started so thearranger track when I first startedusing Cubase the ranger track was one ofthose things you just ignored today Idon't start a song or work on a songwithout using the arranger track it ismy go-to way of shaping the songcreating the song and moving everythingalong knowing where I'm going if youlook up here in this colored sectionarea this isn't a ranger track and allmy parts all my sections of the songhave different colors to them it allowsme to quickly select something make aloop to that point I can select anotherpart start that partI can go to the actual arranger trackwindow area and what I want toexperiment with different parts I canplay that part[Music]and then I can decide if I want to go toa different order of the songif the list goes on and on with thearranger tracks They are just one ofthose things that once you discover themand start using it you will very likelyfind yourself going how did you livewithout it so let's kind of beginlooking into all the details of thisfirst things first you got to get it ina ranger track into the project to useit and I have an arranger track alreadybut to do it you would right click overin your project areaand look down the list and you'll see itthe option for add the arrange yourtrack you click on that and somethinglike this will appear only without thelittle colored blocks and at that pointyou would draw in your arrange of Partstypically with the pencil tool rightclick and get your pencil tool make sureyour snap is set to whatever value andthen just draw it in release your mouseand there's your arranger part you canuse as many of these as you need so justdraw as many as you want every time youdraw in the arranger events theyautomatically get a name and typicallyif it's an alphabet it'll just say ABCbut many times you're going to want torename those to something like VerseChorus or whatever you need and there'sa couple ways to do it if you have thearranger track selected over on the lefthand side it shows you all your arrangerParts if you hold alt and double clickany of these then you can rename them mypreferred way to do it is to select thepart and then go up on the info line andselect the name and click on that andthen I would just type in a new name andthen once you've drawn in your arts orin the process of drawing them in muchof the work you're going to do on thearranger track is in the editor itselfso if you go over into the track hit thelittle e either here over on the lefthere this opens up this screen which youcan do so many things with so let megive you some basic concepts of thisonce you've started creating some ofthese arranger events for example in mysong I have one that says in whichstands for intro and then an A B C D andan N part and they show up here on thisright side here where it says a range ofevents and that shows you everythingyou've created in your song so if you'donly had one little part it would showone little part and if you had you know20 Parts they'd all be listed right hereon the right and if you click on one ofthese these little arrows it will startplaying that part and then if you clickon another arroweven if it's not in order it'll go tothat part nextand you get to audition and you knowhear the different parts now once youhave some parts created if you take anyof these parts and double click on themthen they move over into this left sideand this is basically how you startbuilding your song So if you want thispart to be first and then maybe I'll goto this part a double click then that'llcome next and then maybe this one I'llgo next and this one I'll go next andthat creates the order of how the partsgo up here on the toolbar this veryfirst button is what activates thisarranger track if this is off yourproject will play just like it alwaysdoes if you hit the space bar it'll justplay from the beginning to the end butthe minute you turn this a ranger trackon activate this button this arrangertrack takes over and whatever you puthere on the left hand side that's theway the song is going to play so if Ihit the space bar nowit's going to start from this first partwhen it finishes it'll go to this nextpart which may or may not be an order uphere in the project it'll actually Skipand jump around wherever it needs to goif your first part was at the beginningof the song and this next part was thelast four bars of the song it would makean immediate jump doesn't matter how itgoes in the project and as a side noteto that you need to be aware how thearranger track does take over because alot of times you'll go back to yourproject and you'll want to be workingindependent back in the project like youwould normally do and you may set upsome kind of loop point over some areabut then you'll hit the project andit'll be jumping all over the placebecause if the arranger track is on itplays no matter what it always takesover so if you're working in a linearway on your project where you want tojust work on it normally make sure youturn this arranger track off if youcreate some of these parts and you wantto get rid of them just click on themand then you can right click and sayremove the selected partsevery time you take apart and doubleclick on it again it puts it over hereon the left and it shows here how manytimes that part's going to get played soif it's only one time into the next partthat's what it will do so I have thisletter A Part here I wanted to playnumerous times if I just keep doubleclicking itit will just show the letter a one timehere but it shows that it's being playedfour times and that it would cyclethrough those four ties before it goeson let me just add a couple more partshere I want to show you so moving onwith these buttons besides this firstbutton that says activate the track thenext buttons will move you through thearranger chains so if I hit this one itgoes to the previous event if I hit thisto go to the next event and if you lookdown here on the little arrows they movedown through these letters or they movebackwards through these letters thesenext two buttons move you to thebeginning and end of any kind of repeatsection so for example my a section hereI've got it playing four times so if Ihit this first button it's going to goto the first one of those four but if Ihit the second button it goes to thelast one of the four so it's just a wayof jumping around any repeat areas so afew more buttons to talk about todaywhen you're looking up here on thetoolbar As you move along you have alittle plus sign and this allows you toactually create another chain when youhit that everything wipes out in theleft side here and you can beginclicking on parts and come up withsomething completely different and thisis great because it allows you tocompare and make different versions ofyour song or alternate versions if youneed to have those for some reason andwhat's great too is it tells you downhere how long the song is going as youcreated it tallies up the actual timeand I really enjoy this feature becauseif I want 30 seconds or 15 seconds orwhatever I want I can actually see howmuch time I have here or when I'mcreating my song you know is it twominutes is it three minutes is it 10minutes I get the whole picture righthere all the time every time you createthese new chains then over here in thedrop down list it gives you those chainsand you can just pick the one you wantand recompare it you know call it up anyway you want then you have an option torename them if you need to you knoworganize them better if you have onethat's really good the way you want itbut you want to make a few variations toit you have an option to duplicatewhatever the current chain is and thenyou can work on the duplicate and makesome changes to it and then if you wantto just remove things you got a trashcan here you can click on that as wellas like I said right clicking and youcan remove them that way and that'llwrap it up for today as usual we haven'tgrabbed your navigation guide be sure tograb that before you go links to all thecontent on the channel ever growing freeto useso the arranger track it's just anamazing awesomely great piece ofequipment in your Cubase software I'lltell you something to try you know drawa little section of maybe eight bars andthen ask yourself how can you fill upthose eight bars then once you get thoseeight bars filled up copy it four timesand Vary it different ways and you're onyour way to creating a song or anythingthat comes to your creative mind buttake advantage of it it will help youget from beginning to end and help youget out of that I can't finish my songmode as always great to have you guyshere I'll see you in the next video
